Respect is earned. Period. Good for those people for not going against their moral compass.

The whole problem we're in is because too many people place public servants on some type of royal pedestal, and allow them to get away with insane abuses of power. This has to end, and showing respect where it's not justified is contributing to the problem, and not helping in any way.
