Possible but more likely it is how compliant a population can be. Americans wouldn't put up with doctors and nurses taking children away from parents for experimental inoculations. That is a clear red line in USA.

You sure about that? Looks to me like a great many of our countrymen are that compliant, to the point of advocating for it. I'm seeing normally compassionate people turning into vessels of hate and judgement.

I hope it's just the view from my porch and you're right, but it occurred to me that the people who have know the most freedom in the world are the least able to recognize the loss of it.
