There's A LOT to unpack here. I was there earlier and I can say, without doubt, over 95% of the people present are Patriots. They only let 40 of us speak, only had one person (unidentified) walking around with comment cards for parents to put their name on, where they then randomly drew names (beforehand) to determine speaking order. HOWEVER, there were some who were invited, SPECIFICALLY the President of some Democrat Party "committee" from HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY (Tampa). Why someone who lives on the opposite end of I-4 was allowed to speak in a Volusia County School Board "special" meeting, is probably beyond a lot of people in attendance, but not on me. This was a preplanned invitation after the man admitted he had emailed and spoke with 2 Board Members beforehand. But no one who spoke after him bothered to ask why or ask to have his comments strike from the record.
But, none of that mattered. It's clear, after seeing last month's meeting on 8/24, and after hearing what the School Board Superintendent called Patriot Parents, I'm not surprised that they voted in favor of a mask mandate.

Like I said, it's late, I'm tired, we're in the parking lot and pissed off. I will post some video of the crowd later, but suffice it to say, out of an estimated 250-300 Parents and Grandparents in attendance, including those who were able to speak, THE VAST MAJORITY of th people there are Patriots, heavily redpilled, and highly motivated to take our schools back.
One last thing on tonight.
Throwing "science" at these people doesn't work, if it ever did to begin with. These are people backed by others who have agendas, the people we've elected have their own agendas, too, and those agendas don't fall in line with The Will of The People. If it ever did to begin with, as well.
Reminding them of their Constitutional mandated duties no longer works, either. If that even did. We had parents, grandparents, teachers, and students on both sides, but WE outnumbered them, and it showed. Seeing the youngsters show up and speak out warmed my heart and made me so happy, it almost brought tears to my eyes. But, not even the students, the children, who don't have a voice, and the parents who do speak for our kids were all ignored.
Some of us were given an opportunity to speak, but it didn't matter. Their minds were already made up. There was only one Board Member there that sort of has the Parent's and Student's wishes in mind, but she's ineffective at getting the message across to the other Members.
Of the 5 voting members, 3 are up for re-election next year. 2 voted for mandates. One voted against, but only on procedural issues (she's in favor of the mandate, but not how it's being carried out), and the other voted against. But, like I said, she's ineffective at projecting and expressing The Parent's Will, so she's gonna be gone next year.
There are citizen committees being formed by the parents, and petitions being drawn up and passed out calling for their removal, and ALL of us are emailing the Gov tomorrow. I hope th VCSB likes working for free, because they're about to lose their paychecks.

I was there too and can confirm what the OP said. It was 95% patriots. A small handful of mask-wearers. It was great to see and I am hoarse from yelling with the group we had every time the door opened. That being said, I am so fucking furious.
They won't get paid, and no one can enforce it.
They will quickly change their minds come tomorrow when they lose their funding and paychecks.
