There was some pretty amazing footage of protests in Egypt a few years ago. One of the things that blew my mind was when a mob surrounded a police vehicle, and simply opened up the door and let a man who had been arrested get out. We have been so conditioned to obey authority, to not interfere with official acts, etc that just the simple act of opening a police car door to let someone out was beyond my belief. Pretty sure if that happened in america, the guy would have been booked in at the cop shop.
