Can't they still use the phone and just call people?
I know we all want to see twitter videos and such, but if they are being silenced and blocked, just make some phone calls to OAN or somewhere, anywhere and report first hand what you are seeing.
Otherwise, I find it hard to believe its really happening. Its the middle of the night there now correct? of course there is not going to be any traffic.
Don't they have CB radios, or are those frequencies being jammed?
I'd say that is what is happening. I need the sauce to prove it.
There's also satellite phones
Very expensive I think it's like $10 per minute
In a war (this is war), I suppose one could speak quickly and do whatever is necessary within one's financial ability. The phones themselves aren't cheap, but tracking them is just not a thing. So a bit of anonymity!
Just saying "We're here (name location); law enforcement response is (WHATEVER)"...number of trucks, local effects, patriots coming out to support? Just get whatever you gotta say out as briefly as possible.
Yeah being jammed from what I'm told
This is what you call a communications black out. It wouldn't be hard to figure out a list of truckers involved, and to block their service.
Too bad they can just go buy disposable phones and use those to continue the war.
Disposable phones in many countries still require your ID to buy.
You can get those phones without ID. Trust me. Since the deepstate is not playing by the laws of their land, we should not in some cases either to protect ourselves.
Maybe. I know in Spain, to get one you need a prepaid Sim card and that requires ID. At least that's how it was when I used to travel there every summer.
Not that easy.
Australia's outback has limited coverage and the entry and exit points of most major cities have black zones (no phone reception) because it's expensive to fix and no value.
They would have to move to make calls that's why they use CB radios.
