Edit: I retract the statement below, but leaving it here for posterity and as a lesson to myself and and us all about how unverified rumors end up becoming "facts" in our minds:
This is interesting, and I am not bashing it by any means, but I do want to remind everyone:
"Cov Fefe" is arabic for "We Will Stand."
It is a statement of liberty, as in "We will stand up for what is right" or "we will stand up and defend ourselves."
The only reason no one seems to know that is because Google literally removed the term from their translator after Trump used it on Twitter. It was an early sign of how far they were willing ro go to censor the truth - so far that they are willing to attempt erasing languages...
EDIT: Ok, so upon further digging instigated by criticism from anons, I discovered that my belief that Covfefe means "I will stand" came from Tuffany Fitzhenry as cited by the Gateway Pundit years ago. Fitzhenry has since been exposed as an interesting character to say the least, if not controlled opposition agent, and has been called out for BS on several occasions. As discussed by anons below, any attempt at finding "covfefe" or similar sounding word in the Arabic or other middle eastern languages leads to a big fat dead end.
So I am wrong. Feeling pretty stupid about it, but hey, the truth matters to me. I'll double check next time before trying ton peak with authority.
So MY BAD, I rescind this statement but leaving it here for posterity. TRUTH matters, even when you happen to be the dickhead that said something false.
Triple Double Edit: Anon below has now produced Zach Vorhies' leaked Google Document showing they censored the translator for "Cov Fe Fe." So now I have literally no idea what to think, but hey if you're on the Covfefe rabbit trail might as well take this into account:
I'm seeing evidence that this Arabic story is not true, they don't even have a V consonant sound in their language. I've also heard the story that it's a pre-flood dead language meaning "In the end we win". I haven't seen any evidence of that either. Then there's the Yiddish translation story, sorry no link for that, and then finally this
My MAGA Saudi friend says that the closest in Arabic is "kafef" which means blind. AFAIK, this "COVFEFE is Arabic" comes from that goofball Charlie Strange who talks out his ass even more than Charlie Ward and Simon Parkes put together. He also came up with the story about Trump mocking the Pope's red shoes and I have not heard this anywhere else. It's a pattern I see with pathological liars. Once they think they have an audience, they don't know when to stop.
It comes from Google Translate. Google Translate originally translated covfefe as 'I will stand up'. Then once people discovered this, they removed the translation.
Whether the original translation is a different story, but that is where the original 'I will stand up' translation came from. It came from Google Translate.
The fact that it came from Google Translate, and not Arabic speakers, would kind of confirm that Google's original translation was wrong. But anyway, Google Translate are patient zero.
