That’s awesome! I went to TX 2013 & I really want to go back. I flew over Baja going to HI 2011, that’s as close as I’ll probably get any time soon.
NC has changed a lot since 1992. Wish you could have seen our beaches in the 70s.
Next time you go to EI take the time & drive to Harkers Island & that area. If you have boat go to Shakelford Banks & the Cape. If not there’s ferry services to take you over. Shakelford: There’s one that leaves from Beaufort near the Maritime Museum. I think it drops off & picks up hourly.
Cape Lookout: The national park service has one that leaves from Harkers Island. Also independent ferry service is available.
I love all of our coast, that part is most special to me. FYI: Harkers Island is replacing the bridge soon. That shouldn’t impact getting on the island. It’s the only way on.
