The 100% 'rise' of 1 is 2. The only problem with hospitals is, they have run off the nurses. A hospital in my city with about 12 hospitals, was funded by the Corp. of Engineers? to revamp 2 entire floors for nothing but 'Covid-19'. A TOTAL of 2, YES TWO people were ever treated and it was shut down. There never was a pandemic.
My hospital (VA) only has 10 covid beds.... we are always 60-90% full. It's laughable
Common core is number theory. I understand that as a reasonably educated adult who can do complex equations in his head using such mechanics.
My son, who is 7, can do it as well.
What I do believe, is that it is something we should not be teaching our young children. Math is hard enough for some kids to follow without breaking down numbers like this.
The goal of any hospital is to keep a full occupancy. Every empty bed is money lost to them. I have accompanied various people to the hospital over the years. If you go to the ER and end up needing to be admitted you are very likely to be held in limbo until a bed becomes available. People are dumped out of hospitals after surgeries or illness as soon as they can get rid of you because there is someone waiting for your bed! My most recent visits to medical facilities look very normal except for ERs being very low volume. The biggest change is nazis at every entrance requiring masks with no exceptions. Only main entrances are open to the public where before every facility had several access points.
Not sure about ICU beds. But I know most of the beds in my state are full ( Massachusetts) mainly from psychs and suicidal people
