If one has the virus, every day till symptoms gone (about 3 days or so) seems to be effective, though if it was me I'd take it till the applicator was empty. As a prophylactic for the virus, I've read a couple times a week, but I have no idea how long one should do that. In the case of suspected parasites (as with myself), I've also read a couple times a week, and though no one has said for how long, I'm doing that until the tube is gone (one more day to go).
On the subject of parasites, the reason I decided to take it for that is because for the past year my energy level has been pathetic and not at all like my usual self. I know from my cats and horses that worms deplete their energy, so I got thinking maybe this is what I've had going on. I took it two days in a row, and then switched to every other day. After a week of that I suddenly noticed my energy back to my previously normal way of being. I don't think that's a coincidence, nor psychosomatic. Also, the first day I took it I felt like there was something going on in my stomach, not exactly nauseous, but rather like a lot of somewhat unpleasant butterfly activity. Only occurred the first day, which makes me wonder if that got the job done in terms of parasites and no further dosing would have been necessary, but maybe there are some other toxins it's clearing out and finishing the tube is necessary for that. Anyway, finishing the tube won't hurt me and I might as well use it up just in case my 'other toxins' theory is correct.

Yep. The 1.87% ivermectin paste is the same as the Durvet brand I bought.
I read a post yesterday that said to take Ivermectin every other day as it takes 2 days for the liver to process. Don't have the link handy, tho.
