The visual alone is great - making a syringe look like a GUN! (arrrgh) this shows you know your target audience.

For example, you could show the syringe in a child and your target audience would see no problem.. but a gun shape will actually scare them maybe get them to see the syringe as a threat - that is how primitive it is unfortunately.
