I know you're fearful of sharing a meme like this and being embarrassed, but I think it's more fruitful to explain to your recipients that you don't fact check the small stuff. Cuz it's better to take lots of shots on goal than a few perfect ones.

They'll say they don't believe your general worldview because of this small strawman. But they're only doing that to save face and avoid being wrong. Deep down they know that the name of the person who said it, as in this example, does not matter, at all.
