My story. I’m a lightweight. Probably 170 pounds, identifying as a horse. I took what I would consider about 1/2 of what I put on my toothbrush of Ivermectin last Monday. I did this on an empty stomach, as suggested. I have been eating a Zinc gummy most every day. I feel great. Common sense dosing based on weight isn’t difficult, nor risky.
According to the horse doctors it can be used in a varying amount. It doesn’t have to be exact. As long as you aren’t doubling your horses body weight or something like that the horse should be fine.
Just use the notch for 250 lbs and you w--- sorry--- your horse will be fine. My horse is also 220 and I have done the same thing about 6 times now as a preventative.... er, for my horse that is.
Myself and a buddy dosed near double our pony’s weight for 3 days straight with nothing but good effects. I’ve been... erm my pony has been feeling pretty darn good despite the sudden urges to whinny and neigh. 🐎 durvet ivermectin Apple flavored cracker sandwiches. Tastes like nothing but a hint of apple; my pony tells me. I’ve added zinc the past 2 days since it helps get the zinc into the cells.
Funny they use to put weight measurements on the wormer that went by 200 but I’ve noticed they’ve removed those helpful marks. One syringe covers 1,250 pound horse so you can back into your weight that way. There are definitely more scientific ways out there to figure it out. Good Luck

Start slow, if you do have worms the die off can cause systemic shock and death.

Just have your horse take smaller amounts over moar time...
Its not normally a systemic problem when you deworm as a matter of a standard yearly or biannual routine fren.
