Some strange idea popped into my head that the Australia crackdown was related to China, or CCP strategy in the region. If CCP can take Australia off the list of enemies and perhaps even add an expansionist foothold with a 'new ally", it would be quite helpful in their globalist ambitions. I'm assuming that the CCP owns quite a few Australian politicians, since they have most of ours and we are farther away.
