I know that we are supposed to use zinc, vitamin C, D3, and quercetin, but has anyone got a suggestion as an alternative for NAC? I found out the hard way that my body does not like it, but want to keep up my immune system.
Also, I haven’t started quercetin but was wondering if there are any drug interactions (my doctor would have no idea)?
Thanks for your help!
Quercetin can interfere with drugs that are metabolized through the kidneys - mainly cyclosporin, warfarin (blood thinner) and antibiotics.
Most cholesterol in our body is actually made by our body. Try to modify your diet but don;t give up fats altogether, just switch to healthier fats. Statin drugs suck balls and should be avoided. Also, don't let the doctor focus just on total cholesterol, learn the difference between what a good balance of HDL (good cholesterol) and LDL (Bad cholesterol) and triglycerides is. Oatmeal is your friend - no margarine -switch to butter, better for you and tastes better too - use olive oil for low heat sautes instead of vegetable of canola - nuts and fruits to take the place of chips and junk snacks.
Good to know - I'll wait until my antibiotics are done to start it then.
