That said a lot of US Churches are running their facilities like assholes. The overall cost for nice facilities and all while operating in the red etc is absurd. A lot of them got PPP loans and all and operate at a %50 Staff rate for their entire budget. That’s not wise spending.
This all while their congregations age and they loose income from donations year after year.
This isn't about the church's bazaar or collection. This was about government closing churches and the constitution. Government can bring suit, using enormous power and resources. I believe government ought to at least cover the legal expense if they lose, just like private entities who lose frivolous cases do.
