Wouldn't know I'm one of the few Chiefs that has never been to sea! Most Chief Yeoman hated going to Sea, because they always had to do most of their work when they arrived back in Port! Sea time was for drills and Rescue!
Depends on what branch. It’s a high enough rank to have had been assigned a major command. The low performers are usually terminal at O-5 if they don’t have solid results in command at that level.
It’s a pretty big fucking fish. Not sure why you would tell anyone what rank your whistleblower is.
O6, that's Colonel rank, right?
Yes, full bird Colonel in Army, Air Force and Marines, in the Navy it's a Captain I think.
Correct
Coast Guard is Captain also!
Rats, I forgot the Coasties. Apologies.
As an aside, you do have to be 6' tall to join the Coast Guard, that way, if your boat sinks you can walk to shore. (love inter-service rivalry) kek

I had a friend in the Navy, said he used to 'ride the waves' often.
