Interesting - in what instances would you, say, not be able to feed them pills in their food or whatever need skin penetration?
Oh, maybe for skin conditions, like a rash after shearing or some such thing?

It also kills the pests in the wool of the sheep when applied this way, apparently.
For me, the drench/pour on form is simply much easier to apply than oral or injection method. I use a simple gallon sprayer to apply it to my beef cattle. I only need to get close enough to them to apply it rather than the time and trouble of stressing them out by corralling and forcing them in a squeeze chute where they can't move then inject them or shove a bolus down their throat.
Ah, that makes sense. Silly city boy, thought farmers could hide the pills in something the way you can with pets.
