That is my thought. It was duing a 4 day weekend.
It’s called fort Campbell army base. They are literally blowing shit up at all hours of the day or night any day of the year.
Inclined to agree. Montgomery County is on the northern border of Tennessee, and fairly close to Fort Campbell. Which, IIRC, is where the 101st is.
So yeah, likely a training exercise.
Seriously, this article fails to mention that US Army's 101st Airborne Division is based in Fort Campbell. Clarksville is the town that is associated with this GIANORMOUS military base.
Man, feels like it’s been ages since we’ve heard about the phantom booms
Its another RV
I'm in east Tennessee and didn't feel anything. Montgomery County is in west Tennessee and closer to the New Madrid Fault... maybe it's moving again.
Had this happen several times in Corinth, MS last year. Police would spread out all over looking for the source. One time it was so strong that I could see the ripple moving across the parking lot. The official story they put out was that is was a vehicle gas tank exploding at the scrap yard nearby, but the people working there say that ain't so.
