That's built with time. All of that comes with trust and a certain amount of charisma. You have to make sure to build that tradition. My own family used to be better about it, but I've certainly seen Italian, Irish, Jewish, or Mexican (among others) families with deep roots in their own traditions who make a real effort to keep those things alive, to talk to their neighbors, to build their communities, etc.
It's hard because we all have so much other crap to pay attention to in life and we let that be an excuse for failing to commit or re-commit to each other. We fail even our own kids or spouses and end up with broken homes. That has to stop, but that means we have to slow down and prioritize our responsibilities. Work and career have to come after family, friends, neighbors, and community - after our God, after our values and principles, etc. And it's much easier to say than to do. We're seeing that now with the vaccine mandates. Do we value our gold or our principles of bodily autonomy and the right as free men to make our own healthcare decisions? We're each making those choices right now.

Youโre right, and I just hope we have the ability to improve our world for the future of the children. They deserve freedom.
