Sorry 'bout that I'm 76, so my infant years were pretty safe ones. My dear mother had the shingles vaccination and STILL got shingles so, I will refuse that one too..

I also predate the vaccine and had chickenpox. The problem is that those who have had chicken pox always harbor the (herpes) virus that causes it. Now I'm wondering if somehow the chickenpox vax can also cause shingles under some condition.

Perhaps the earliest vax were safe, try and determine by stats when that may have changed is what I think..
