I know some people keep asking for any verse in the bible that may support a religious exemption. Well this popped up on my app this morning and for some of you it may fit the bill. It's not about a vaccine, but it is about your freedom of will.
"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Cor 9:7
Society is telling us that we should give our bodies to this massive science experiment for the "greater good" and is using various forms of force or pressure in the form of some kind of punishment to encourage compliance from those who are reluctant to give their bodies to science. However, God wants us only to give from our hearts, and we are instructed never to give under compulsion, this is a warning sign. If you are reluctant in any way, God says not to give. Remember, God gave us free will, God gave us our freedom to choose. To be pressured by any entity to do something against your will under the threat of punishment is a violation of your religious freedom and can and should be viewed as religious discrimination.
You don't know the concept of the old saying "the moral of the story" do you?
Yes. The moral of the story has nothing to do with taking one sentence from the story out of context to mean something completely unrelated.
Paul’s statement was a specific teaching on a specific topic in plain language. It has absolutely nothing to do with anything else and does not hold up as a solid argument when attempting a religious exemption.
I think that just depends on a person's perspective. I don't believe God wants you to be pressured to doing anything that is not in your heart. He gave us free will after-all. This passage is just one example of that philosophy which can be applied in all areas. People like you make Christianity look so distasteful with your rigid judgmental attitude, constantly insisting you're right and everyone else is wrong. This is exactly what drives people away from it.
And you, judging me as the reason people turn from Christ, what do you call that?
Using the bible as a magic book where you can use the words however you want to interpret them even though it is obviously not the topic bring discussed is your prerogative, but it is dangerous for you, because it is false and falsehood is dangerous.
