We are ready to get started (for our horses, of course!) So much information has been posted already but search function doesn’t work!
Can you all give us some guidance?
Edit to add: We do have horses and are familiar with Ivermectine. Just looking for guidance on dosage and frequency of use in humans.
Multiplying weight by 1.5 seems to be the consensus (but have seen that’s not necessary?).
You adjust the horse dose to your weight. The plunger on the tube is marked. Just set the ring to your weight. You don't need 1.5X the horse dose.
If you are using the Ivermectin Injectible for cattle the dose is 1cc to every 110 pounds of body weight.
If you have active covid it is one dose per day for four to five days.
If you are taking it as a preventative it is one dose on day one, one dose on day two, and once every ten days to two weeks after that. I am taking the horse paste version for other reasons and I have set up a schedule of once every twelve days.
I have been using the ivermectin on my animals for years with no problems. The human dose of the injectible is very close to the dosage for dogs of .1cc to every ten pounds of body weight. I give theirs twice a month during warm months, and once a month during cold months for heartworms.
