Your logic is seriously flawed.

If they know that locking people down in a complex in this manner for a such a period of time is abuse then don't lock people down like they are cattle.

This is cruel and should never be done to any human being. Prisoners are treated better in USA prisons. And USA prisons don't have a good reputation in the western world.
