Trying to make some decisions on how to best prep for the times, should things worsen before they improve. I want to get my money out of the bank asap and I'm thinking of using it to buy a plot of land as my long term investment/savings strategy. This would protect my money from both inflation and government overreach, as I believe a few more steps ahead in their plan will be to block us from our banking accounts if we do not comply. We are not there yet but I think it's coming. The land will also be an available resource should I need it in the event of food shortages as I am a master gardener but my current property is tiny.
I'm also calling a ranch today to invest in a quarter cow for my freezer. Between that and the fall garden, finding food won't be an issue for months. Regardless what the near future holds, I have to make sure I can keep my kids fed.
Do you have any prepping plans in action? Any advise?
Today I refilled my food-grade plastic buckets. I now have parboiled rice, basmati, aborio rice, couscous, polenta, salt, sugar, whole grain flour, self-raising flour, various pastas, dried peas, dried beans, dried yeast, tea and coffee and lots of frozen and tinned veggies. The freezers are full. Where I live in Italy, as an unvaxxed person, potentially I could be locked out of shops by the end of this month. I still have more to purchase, but I can survive for a little while longer.
Don't count on refrigerated or frozen items. The first thing they'll do to 'smoke us out' is cut off our electricity and water supply.
Good for you! We gotta just wait out their tyranny. The govts and economy’s can’t handle us not being dependent on them for only so long
Just remember the grains and pastas provide calorie intake but not vitamin and protein nutrition very well. Good that you have the tinned and frozen veggies must eat them with the pastas and grains. Consider adding protein powders and dry or liquid vitamins.
Honestly I am not sure about the area in Italy but a long term solution to either get out or grow food would be a good next step.
