As someone who's family is on food stamps and government insurance I can not agree with this. I should not be required to get a death shot to get food for my family. I even was on food stamps while I was working because I couldn't make enough money now being out of work it's how we survive.
Also I never got a single unemployment check because of someone in 2012 trying to scam using my information and when I applied in 2020 they couldn't verify me because of miss matched information.
It's not meant to disparage from food stamps for Christ's sake. It is to show the hypocrisy of workers having to vaccinate to keep their jobs while those who are receiving benefits do not. If he made welfare recipients receive the vaccine to get benefits I would be as against it. The hypocrisy is that he did not. More people would be upset and get off their asses to fight this shit. But now they are comfortable and won't.
I think we know why, they are trying to kill off the productive parts of society
That's bad logic right there and a classic whataboutism. It doesn't have to be one or the other or even both, there are many many people who are upset about the forced vaccination to work. Infact for myselft this causes a huge problem in my job search (I live in Orlando) and you bet all the corporations around here will force it on their employees. Orlando is like its own State it doesn't listen to the governor.
What you should be upset about are the people being kept docile posting memes and all talk no action. Do as the one guy said look offline for paper fliers for things going on in your community get out and protest.
It shows the hypocrisy of the mandate and pisses off a lot of people. Whataboutism is a strong motivator in human nature. Don't be so quick to discount that.
the term "whataboutism" was invented by the left because they hated being called out for their constant hypocrisy
I have actually only ever heard it used on discord in religious debate serves especially when atheists come around saying "well what about the children who need to be adopted from abortions being made illegal" kind of things.
The fact that the House and the Senate and their employees are not included in the mandate should tell us everything we need to know.
Rules for thee but not for me.
Don't take this the wrong way, but I have a hard time understanding how anyone can be unemployed right now when we have businesses BEGGING people to come work for them.
And this seems to be a long term thing for you. Have you thought about learning a trade or skill to help you find a job?
I worked for IKEA for 5 years, at the start of the pandemic they furloughed a lot of us, when I left them I left to work on my own business (I make prayer ropes) and trying to sell to my Church for their bookstores. Unfortunately when COVID happened it also locked down the parishes and the priests shut down the bookstores. After that my husband and I would go around scrapping (our vehicle need the control arms replaced before we can go back to doing that) so for us its been one thing after another. Now I find myself back to looking for a retail job again only to hear that you will probably be required to be vaccinated. Its a struggle.
As someone who works for a living, neither should I be required to get a death shot to get food for my family. We are on the same team.
Yes thank you for your well thought out response, what a great point amazing!
