They still have not figured out the art of persuasion. But, since they regard The People as deplorable collateral whose opinions don't matter and who should just do what they are told, it makes sense that they wouldn't believe it was worth their time and effort to try to persuade them. (A couple examples are 1) the despicable DNC "convention" - mostly a negative, hate-driven sh-tshow rife with satanic symbolism and VERY little persuasive content and 2) Sleepy Joe's statement during his "campaign" that, "I don't need you to get elected.")
