I guess more than 30 years ago I thought the music industry was entertaining. Then came the rappers and pseudo-grunge "indie" bands. Darkness and despair was considered cool. I stopped listening and woke up to the in your face satanic symbolism. Today's pop with the likes of mediocre John Legend and slutty girl power songs lack creativity, let alone melody. It seems all the "artists" are part of the club pushing the NWO agenda in one way or the other.
I shifted from pop and rock to country music in the early 1990s, then in the late 1990s I went all classical, and since then that's been the only music I'm interested in. Glorious melodies, beautiful harmonies, peaceful or stirring depending on my mood. It soothes my soul.
Yessss!!!! I OD’d on country several years ago because it was the only thing I could bear to listen to but then... I got into classical and jazz. The sky is the limit. It’s so amazing.
Interesting piece. And since it's from South America, it caused me to remember that I also love tango music and have a CD for when I'm in a tango mood.
That's about what I did. Loved Alan Jackson and Toby Keith. Then Country lost its luster becoming mediocre as it could be. Classical music definitely speaks to the soul.
