I've got volumes of information that I've archived on all this, but I admit I wasn't very good at cataloguing it all. Your particular question was addressed by some eyewitnesses, and unfortunately I can't bring up the link at the moment, if it still exists.
All planes were switched with military look-alikes mid-air, and the transponders coded appropriately while the commercial planes took the passengers to the new destination. (See Operation Northwoods.) This avoided any suspicion by air traffic controllers.
Basically, all the passengers were brought to the Cleveland Airport, and marched into a NASA hangar. They were handed cell phones and separate scripts for them to call their loved ones, under the auspices of a "matter of national security." Ordinarily, cell phone technology doesn't allow for phone calls to be made from airplanes, especially in 2001.
One of the calls, I believe from a stewardess, was left on an answering machine. At the end of the message, she whispered, "It's a fake."
Presumably, after these calls were made, everyone was executed and disposed of.
I suspected something like this might have happened. I was wondering whether the people on the Shanksville plane may have been some sort of false flag event like Sandy Hook or the Challenger explosion. Is it possible that these people, for whatever reason, wanted to "disappear?" I wonder if anyone has tried to find a connection between all of these folks that might help explain things?
Granted the people that planned 9/11 are evil, but it's hard to imagine cold-bloodedly killing a whole plane full of innocent people after forcing them to make phone calls. It's more "personal" than blowing up a building at a distance where you don't have to interact with the victims.
The only thing I can say to your supposition that it's hard to imagine how cold-blooded these people, is that these aren't "normal" people. They might be slightly-insane military-types, accustomed to killing people. They may very well be satanists. Plus, you need look no further than the aspirations of Zionists, and how callously they think of the rest of the world.
To give you some keywords to search on, if you haven't already, look up "Bush" and "Skull and Bones." Then, add "Bohemian Grove" to the mix. There's much, much more, and much much darker. I'm afraid if I give you some other keywords, I might lose my account.
More to your question specifically, eyewitnesses on the ground in Shanksville reported a "small plane" traveling at high speed and low altitude above the tree tops, just before a giant explosion in the field. Probably another cruise missile.
