Maybe we need to run some copper wires around the planet a few dozen times and hook them up to a big battery to re-magnify our core.

If Futurama taught me anything, all we need is some string, cats, and a basement lava pit to the core, and a turn wheel and we can just speed up the earth slightly to gain some back.
