You’re not totally wrong, but in reality this site is a battlefield with shills on both sides pushing ‘the narrative,’ so of course regular people are caught in the crossfire. We have to accept that if we’re going to be here.
Shills push the crazy conspiracy angle and other shills (maybe the exact same people?) push the worship-media angle. But that’s why we must work on our own intelligence and personal responsibility and intuition individually and develop morals and principles, to try and help us sniff out the wrongness coming from all angles.
