Well, fren, your answer seems pretty categorical, so in all honesty, I did contemplate whether it makes sense to continue this thread or not. But perhaps this is a new perspective for you to consider or maybe it will help someone else reading it, so here it is:
When you start on the path and began praying earnestly, fasting and taking Communion - you will be tried at every step.
The demons are waiting and they will wage war against you. They will tempt you and deceive you in every way possible, including giving you false visions of God and Christ. They will put thoughts in your head, thoughts that will scare you and disgust you. They will try you on every single trait of your character, and you will need all the help you can get. Many good souls have been lost on this path, with many succumbing towards the end to the most insidious sin of all - Pride.
The Saints, although regular people like you and I once, are titans, because they were able to overcome. But they had the help of Jesus, Virgin Mary and all the other Saints and so any Christian applying himself/herself earnestly to the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles should ask for their help.
They will help, all you have to do is ask.
The book I pointed above talks about this at great length.
BTW, Fr. Seraphim Rose's relics are buried at Platina, CA.
I’m 100% in my faith. I believe the 10 Commandments are sacred.
I have yet to meet a devout catholic believer that can logically reconcile how literally praying to anyone other than God, is not violating the first commandment. God is almighty and can handle every, single request. To think praying to a saint can be helpful, demeans your faith in God’s power.
I am awake in my Christian faith. I don’t believe most catholic believers are. I’m not trying to be an a-hole here. I truly believe catholicism is in need of an awakening beyond pedophilia and deep state corruption, but in true, biblical, Christian faith, just as much.
Yet another anti-Catholic. I'm getting tired of encountering people who are Biblically illiterate or who don't understand Catholic Catechism and yet speak as if they know more than a devout Catholic.
Catholics were the FIRST Christians, and you want to say we know nothing or created nothing? Our first pope was St. Peter, Jesus' apostle. Can you say your denomination had such a person so close to Christ? Probably not. Lutherans have a fallen away priest who then persuaded a nun to fall away as well and then ran off with her to marry her. Yeah, what a guy.
Just because somebody did it first doesn’t mean they’re right, lols! Your Christian awakening is imminent, if you’ll let it be…
That’s the thing with catholics, they all think because they supposedly were “the first,” that they believed this all their life without question, that they are unequivocally correct. Nearly every, single, one…
I no longer claim any denomination. They all have their own issues. I’m a Christian. I believe in God. He created everything. He controls everything. I believe he sent Jesus to die for our sins and I also believe that is the only way into heaven. I don’t make it harder than it needs to be. Works great!
Praying to them is 100% not the way to do that. Everything else is fine.
