I’m not allowed fowl in my village but I grow everything in my soil fruits, veggies, mushrooms, and nuts. However, in WI all food is labeled as to where it came from so avoiding Chinese is easy.

Most places now will allow hens but not roosters. If they don't, you should talk to your local government about allowing hens.
