Can someone explain this one to me? Why would companies across the board, sports, Disney, Google, etc all pander to commies over Americans? When did our $$ mean so less? Where are airlines and corporations looking out for US the true Americans? Are we not productive and high earning members of this society?

If you please the CCP, you'll get access to some really cheap labor. You might even become a preferred source for the CCP! Also, if you make movies that make socialism seem like the way to go + pander to the CCP, you get bonus cash and prizes.
They simply have a larger customer base
The assumption is the Chinese economy will continue having massive growth. Assuming you can get x% market share, with China growing 20%+ per year, in 5 years and investment is worth 2.5X, in 10 years 6.1x. Just get in and get a slice and you will see significant returns.
Largest market in the world. Period. Access to a 1.3 billion person market, with (an assumed) increasing income means whatever it costs to get in, you can recover with merely minor market penetration.
