Is it not possible that she indeed was just a regular normie who actually woke up. Woke up and went "Oh whoa whoa, wait a... what the actual fuck??"

Just so happens this person is in a position, and they know it, to help wake others

She could've been 'playing the game' because the record label owns her, really. Sometimes these people ARE just doing what they're told and not really paying attention due to the amount of money being thrown at them. They don't know what the 'eye cover' thing is ; they got $300 grand for a photo shoot, and got more exposure / publicity.
