The Opportunities
These positions will support Thurston County Public Health and Social Service's COVID-19 response by supporting the I/Q Facility which is operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The ability to properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and to maintain situational awareness will be critical to the safety and success of these roles. The I/Q Facility offers a safe place for anyone in the community to await test results or to recover if diagnosed positive for COVID-19 when they do not have a home or home-like setting in which to do so.
I/Q On-Site Staff work rotating shifts (8:00am-4:15pm, 4:00pm-12:15am, or 12:00am-8:15am) to support the COVID-19 response by overseeing the daily operations and oversight of guests at the facility under the supervision of the I/Q Coordinator. This also includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that guests are receiving basic services, by monitoring guests, coordinating food and other deliveries to guest rooms and communicating with host facility staff, and maintaining strong communication throughout the I/Q Team.

Qualifications
Graduation from High School or GED.
Two (2) years customer service experience OR 1 (one) year in a social services or non-profit services setting.

I & Q Strike Team members are in responsible charge of the I & Q Facility during their shift and are tasked with responding to emergencies, training contractors and new staff, and providing guest support as needed. When we are successful, these efforts will directly support the mission of the DOH, which is to protect and improve the health of people in Washington.
This recruitment will be used to fill three (3) non-permanent full-time Program Specialist 2 positions located within the Division of Emergency Preparedness & Response. These Program Specialist 2 positions are anticipated to last twelve (12) months from date of hire.
The duty station for this position is in Centralia, WA at our State Isolation and Quarantine Facility. The facility is staffed 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. Staff may work any or all of the three shifts and may work overtime as needed to ensure adequate staffing of the facility.
