~April 2020 I had a long conversaton with an airline flight attendant whose rotation put him on the China runs. His comments then were "It's all bullshit. The planes are filled with Chinese and none of the crews are catching anything". I am with the public near daily and in side-by-side fashion, often indoors. That's been my experience so far also. To date I've never seen anything on airline crews and how bad they've been hit by the pandemic. Those were the first front line workers.
I am not saying there isn't something to catch, I don't deny that there is a virus. SInce that initial conversation though I never worried about it and filed it under seasonal flu. I have never gotten a flu shot either and come down on it like this: If Covid-19 stats are overinflated in every category why bother with the prophylaxis at all? But, I am not faulting you for taking it. In the end it absolutely comes down to doing what you feel is the best way forward. My path is different.
Definitely interested in your analysis. One thing for sure about ivermectin is that it seems to be benign when taken within guidelines. So if anything it falls into the "It can't hurt." category. I think you know this but if not, I was not playin gotcha, just curious as to your reasons (which are clear).
That's an interesting point. You'd think the airline staff would have been hit particularly hard, especially at the beginning. We don't hear much about it though
Nope, not a peep. At the beginning I was worried (based on the 24/7 news onslaught. Had done a lot of international travel during the SARS & escalated H1N1 scares so I immediately thought of COVID-19 as an even worse version.
After we spoke I started thinking, "Did I ever encounter anyone with SARS/H1N1 or get sick myself?". No, but nearly everyone in the international terminals were masked and herded around while coughing into their elbows. So this guy was my red pill and at roughly 20 weeks into COVID-19 he would have been at the heart of it. Put SARS & H1N1 (& ebola in 2014) as ops to raise awareness of pandemics and that they are getting worse each time.
We're all gonna die unless you do this & this & this...just like The Patriot Act.
