After all the shit that's happened in the past year and seeing how doctors just regurgitate what administrative staff and their attorneys tell them, I'm through with corporate medicine. I want to find a doctor isn't a part of some massive hospital network, that is still independent and can still perform services like a real doctor should be able to!
Of course that in itself I know is a challenge considering all the buyouts, more government bureaucratic redtape and retirements over the past couple decades and I fully realize much of the American public is in a bad spot these days.
But I'm sure there must be some out there - I'd just like to know how I can find them. Is there a website or organization I should check out? Or maybe some sort of professional qualifications to specifically look for?
Your conundrum is similar to mine. Many years ago, I observed chiropractors and dentists always sent reminders via mail/email, or left a message on the telephone that I was 'due' for a check-up. I noted, medical doctors never did this. I'm in my 70s and for the last 40 years I don't have a family doctor. It has been a struggle for me to find a doctor I can trust. Instead, I felt like I was treated like a factory part. The doctor I'd see was the one who was visiting, instead of the one I set my appointment for, or it was always some damn stranger I didn't trust. I do not trust strangers. To have a medical doctor examine me or worse surgery, is horrifying. There is no control over what idiot one ends up with. Not all doctors are the same. Most doctors are smug little idiots that need to be sent back to boarding school. After 40 years, I have a very good chiropractor, dentist, but and NO medical doctor. It may be the reason why I am still alive.
There is a great opportunity for physicians and nurses to start making home visits outside of the healthcare system. A parallel economy is the way to resist and to defund the totalitarian fascism we are now seeing. IMHO, when healthcare insurance (Aetna, Cigna, BluCross, etc.) became big business it became a monopoly that now abuses that power. The medical profession lost their soul.
Door-to-door doctors is what is needed to end this BS at medical hospitals and clinics. Physical examinations can be easily done out of a doctor's bag. Heck, even using a paramedic truck for home visits would be a great idea for over worked and stressed out doctors. They can pursue the Hippocratic oath they have sworn to.
