I agree that man does not realize perfection and in many instances hates it when he encounters it. Those are the reprobates and lost souls we must pray for. For their own “great awakening” to the love and forgiveness of Jesus.
I take issue with lumping “the Catholic Church” in with satanists in OP’s post. There are many millions of loving, compassionate Christian Catholics on this planet. Yes the church has been infiltrated by evil people. But throughout history the church has defended Christ and Christendom. Countless Catholic people have given their lives for Jesus over the centuries.
Countless Catholics have defended children and the unborn in their daily lives, prayed in front of abortion clinics, and offered hope and help to women facing unplanned pregnancies. Catholics and Protestants come together quite often on this issue. Check out Father Frank Pavone, Priests for Life, Rachel’s Vineyard, Birthright International, Silent No More, and so many others.
I just feel compelled to speak up for so many Catholics who have done so much good and fought for children, for the unborn and for those in need in our society.
While we cannot become as perfect as Jesus, because we all have our own vices and sins, we can achieve perfection by our actions.
The Sanctity of Work is something very undervalued in modern Christiandom. Before Jesus set out on his Passion, he was a Carpenter.
If someone's work of art, craft, or skill has ever been so beautiful that it made you cry, it had in it that Divide Spark of Creation.
That is to say, the only way we can come close to God's perfection is to do as He does -- To Create. What greater form of worship or flattery of God could there be?
Jesus' Great Work, his Magnum Opus, was to become the perfect Sacrifice; the perfect example of Love.
No matter what your own unique gifts are; no matter what your unique shortcomings are, you have infinite worth in the eyes of God. He would have died just the same even if it was only you who were saved. His Love and Mercy are that limitless. That was the perfection of his Life's Work.
If you truly wish to know the mind of God, then follow Him and dedicate yourself to any craft, art, or skill of your choosing. So long as you create, and not destroy, you will be aligning your spirit with the Spirit of God.
If God gave you gifts and they work with your goal to be the best toilet maker in the world, then go make the best toilet in the world! If God gave you gifts and you want to use them to be a fisher of men, then go be the best fisher of men you can be!
The journey of discovery and perfection will invariably lead you to God, as all perfect things lead back to Him, and while you might not attain true perfection, you will have made the effort, which is in and of itself perfect in God's eyes.
