Understood... was wondering if any math Anons can help a horse out with some sort of conversion. I can type, but I can't do math... my trainer never taught me.
Okay, I think I follow what you're saying. Let me explain what I'm thinking... the tube is 6.08 grams, and the Ivermectin percentage is 1.87% (at least that's how I interpret that). So 1.87% x 6.08 grams gives you .1137 grams. And that is equal to 113 milligrams. On the syringe, each notch is the equivalent of 50 lbs, and the syringe is for 1250 lbs. Divided by 50 lbs, that means there are 25 notches. Divide 113 milligrams by 25 and you get 4.52 milligrams per 50 pound notch. I happen to be 150 (I'm a tiny horse). So... three notches would give me the proper weight, and 13.56 milligrams of Ivermectin via the paste.
So, I'm not too far off when I take 3 notches, if this math is right. Can you or anyone validate my assumption about the percent that is Ivermectin? Is that how to read the tube accurately? I can read? Hahaha... Yes indeed. Trainer taught me my abc's as I trotted around the arena.
If anyone reads this and is alarmed, please let me know...
Lastly, I took it on Saturday and then a Monday. Just to get rid of possible parasites. Probably once a month do that 48 hour dual dose routine.
I just searched how much is in the whole tube, and I found it contained 91mg in the entire thing. So I divided 91 by the 25 notches. Comes to about 11mg for 3 notches.
Sorry fren, pills not paste.

I have a conversion chart but am unclear on how to post it.
Three divets on the tube handle (there are 25 divets total) three divets equals 13 mg. Total 91 mg in the tube for a 1250 pound horse.
