Remedy 1. Make a heavy (spicy) ginger tea with cinnamon stick, squeeze lime (whole), add mint or Hall mint and sweet it up with raw honey.
***Repeat every single day, twice per day until feel better
Remedy 2. Cut a pineapple (put it on a jar or closed container), add raw honey or raw dark sugar with lime or lemon juice and mint leaves.
***Ferment for at least 5 to 8 hours. Take one spoon of the remedy every day, twice or three times per day.
Alternative to Remedy 2. Do the same thing, but this time add half an onion and again wait for fermentation. Use the same step to take remedy. ****it taste disgusting, but it is worthy.
Remember this; teraflu night and Vicks mentol are your best friends at night.
Teraflu help you sleep while Vicks helps you breathe better. Put vicks on your chest, nostrils and forehead. Have plenty of sleep and long showers, it helps.
Side note: All the ingredients have common properties; Vit C, antioxidants, and immune booster.
It's amazing how universal these home remedies are. My families have used all the ones you've mentioned except the pineapple one. That's a new one for me. I'll have to try it out next time someone here gets sick.
The onion one works the best for me, personally.
Using Vicks vapo rub in the shower works well for congestion. Usually we just plop a big glob of it (generic version because it's too expensive to use so much of the name brand) in the bottom of the shower, and take a long hot shower. I vaguely remember seeing a commercial for a new product that does this same thing, but don't remember if it was Vicks or not.
Using Tea tree oil or mint shampoos and soaps can help with clearing head congestion, too.
