"There shall arise false christs and prophets... great signs and wonders... if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

If possible? God's children (the elect?) COULD be deceived? SHALL be deceived? SOME? ALL? I'm seeing blunders but no wonders yet and do not hope to. Please discuss Matt 24:24. I think it's relevant now.

That, if it were possible, but of course it isn’t.

So the elect won’t be deceived. Not all who call themselves Christians are part of the elect (actual Christians).
