One dude commented more than once that the guy had a weapon (knife); someone else agreed with him. The guy drops something as he's grabbed, and the cop to the right picks it up; I can't tell what from the video, and I haven't found any detailed articles or posts about this incident.
Regardless, this is excessive force. That cop just wanted to throw somebody around.
