I have lived in Venezuela since 1981, moved here from California when I was 35 y.o. and have seen first hand the political changes that transformed this nation from the richest in South America to the economical disaster it is today. The social and political forces behind Chavez and Maduro are the reason. No need for me to keep an open mind, I´ve had 21 years observing the fruits of their labors.
I still think he is making the right decision about vaccines and he is definitely right about the banks ruining their currency (I don’t know how connected he is to the Central Bank), but maybe that’s more out of self-preservation.
