Cut out the insurance companies and charge monthly membership fees. Healthcare prices would be lower and providers would be given much more control over how they treat their patients.
Millions of healthcare workers are being coerced to administer treatment they don't agree with and even being forced into taking it themselves.
I would happily be the first paying member of such a network.
I cant find a doctor anywhere that has his own independent office. They are all controlled by the hospitals working in their clinics.
It's starting. My dentist stopped participating in HMO's. I'm still covered under Out of Network stuff. I pay up front, they still submit the paperwork to my insurance for me and in less than two weeks I have a check.
I pay by credit card and have the $$ before the bill is due.
The office was very worried about going this way, but staying under the thumb of HMO's would have ruined their practice.
It's a start.
My dentist does not take insurance cash only...his rates are better than insurance...he has a 2 year waiting list
