Many replacement workers, most notably nurses, are legal immigrants. Legal immigration also includes the category of asylum due to discrimination against homosexuals. It also includes asylum for battered spouses, and regardless of how sympathetic a case may be, that category is very easily abused. There are a host of other categories that are also worthy of reconsidering.
