When I was in public school in FL in the 1960s, there MIGHT be ONE fat kid in a class of 25 or 30 students. I think it was more like one in each grade (three classrooms per grade in my elementary school). The level of obesity now is just crazy. If you go out in public anywhere, it's like invasion of the body inflators, and of course, their kids are the same. I think it's not just the food that is eaten now, but the fact that kids don't go out to play like they used to.
