I'm gonna be a contrarian here and say take this one with a grain of salt.
Airborne is Airborne. Special Forces are Special Forces, Green Berets are Airborne qualified. No one in the SF refers to themselves as "Airborne Special Forces", that's some hollywood bullshit.
Everyone in the military knows it's Court Martial, not Court Marshall. And that would have been spelled out in literal black and white in the charge sheet handed to him by the commander that by law, he has to sign.
SF are not dummies, they are smarter than the average non-military citizen at a minimum- so it's not like he couldn't read or understand what was allegedly given to him.
Last point: You can't get kicked out by a summary Court Martial (that's the one that's all done on paper). You need a Special or General Court Martial to do that. It means lawyers, judges, evidence, discovery, appeals. If the referenced Gab is real, then the attempt is to frighten and coerce the soldier into resigning.
