All of recorded history has taken place since recovery from the last disaster and we are rapidly approaching the next. Lotsa re-sets along the way. It's biblical. We have alien beings...Elohim, Angles, Arch-Angles, Seraphim, Melchizedeks who come to a devastated bio-sphere and generically restore life. Who ever they were, way advanced from us. What then? Do they just hang out for thousands of years playing with their ant farm? ...or...do they do what we would do. Establish an artificial control system to monitor things and go on about their business. The "All-seeing AI / quantum computer...(that dang missing capstone again) re-boots from time to time.
