There is one Commander in my Squadron who has the balls to be fighting this vaccine. He has taken it upon himself to assist other airman with filing out Requests for Religious Accommodations. Thank you for this article, I have provided it to the group of ours who are getting ready to refuse the vaccination that will be required 10-3 during drill. I am not certain of all branches but with the Air Force, just submitting a request for RAR will provide 60 days (at least) relief from the vaccination while they process the request. If it is denied, you can appeal the decision which would provide an additional 30 days. For anyone who is interested I have some documents and AFIs that can be used for the religious accommodation. It is my understanding that the Army has until June 2022 before they have to comply with the mandate, whereas, the AF has until NOV 2nd for Active Duty. The Air Guard has until Dec 2 (In Missouri), not sure if this is the same for all guard units across the country.

thanks for the details. do you think the Air Force Reserve is following the same timeline? my son is also sorting through the process, he's in Kansas.
I can only speculate, but since the reserve is a component of the active duty Air Force, I would assume they are following the active duty timeline.
