Liberalism by definition is:

willingness to respect or accept behaviour or opinions different from one's own; openness to new ideas.

a political and social philosophy that promotes individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise.

For a democrat to say they are a liberal today, is so far from reality…. Liberal ideology has been so far corrupted that to call one self a liberal and a democrat is a perversion of the truth… today’s democrat is not a liberal… and to call a liberal a democrat is an insult to actual liberals… todays democrat is a communist… and fascist… rolled into one…
